The Spanish researchers Pedro Acebes and Jorge Calvo, from CARTIF Technological Centre, and the Portuguese researchers Fernando Noronha and Luis Lima, from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Oporto (FCUP), all of them part of the ESMIMET project team, visited the facilities of the company MINERÁLIA (Minerália-Minas, Geotécnia E Construções, Lda.) in the city of Braga, Portugal, on 4 June.

The aim of the expedition was twofold:

– First of all, to know first-hand the facilities of the company MINERÁLIA, a leading entity in the sector that is part of the ESMIMET Project Work Network. Adrian and Joao Barros explained to the members of the project the main activities and progress that the company is carrying out at the moment.

– And secondly, to propose to the company MINERÁLIA possible future collaborations with the members of the ESMIMET project.

Additionally, the aforementioned researcher of the FCUP Luis Lima has also participated in the Conferences held on May 24 and 25 at the University of Évora, organized by the Department of Geosciences, Environment and Territory Ordinance (DGAOT), where presented the latest advances of the ESMIMET project through a corporative poster.

CARTIF and the FCUP are members of the ESMIMET project.
